Spanish giants avenged their double defeat against Ukrainian club football giants Shakthar Donetsk following their 5-0 away win over the same team in the first of their two Champions League meetings this season.


Shakthar Donetsk stunned the footballing world last season when they defeated Shakthar Donetsk twice in the group stage and Real Madrid were handed the chance to make things right when they were drawn together when the draw for this season’s Champions League group stage was held in August. Real Madrid took the opportunity to make things right after the double defeat from last season thanks to the5-0 away win over their Ukrainian opponent.

HAZARD ON TARGET IN BIG WIN

Real Madrid playmaker Eden Hazard was on target as Belgium took a major step towards qualifying for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament from the European section with a big win over the Czech Republic. He was one of the goalscorers as Belgium beat visitors Czech Republic 3-0 at home in a Group E clash played on Sunday.


Eden Hazard scored the second goal for Belgium four minutes before the interval to add to the opening goal of the game for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku was able to celebrate his century of appearances for his country with the first goal against the Czechs on eight minutes. ANCELOTTI APPROVES HAZARD SALE – REPORT

New Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has approved the sale of Eden Hazard who has endured a frustrating spell at the club since he joined two years ago.

According to media portal ABC, Ancelotti has given his approval for the possible sale of Eden Hazard as he targets a small squad of 23 players. The Italian tactician wants to trim his large squad to just 23 players. It was revealed that both manager Ancelotti and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez are in agreement about cutting the number of players in the squad.

IS MADRID STAR HAZARD BACK TO HIS BEST?

Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard has found it hard to ride on his luck in recent years and has suffered a lot from different injury problems that have hampered his career. Since moving from Chelsea to Real Madrid some months ago, the Belgium international forward has not lived up to expectations and continues to owe the Spanish La Liga giants and their fans consistency on the pitch. His time at the club, which is now considered by many to be a disaster, has continued to hit rock-bottom and even though he has been trying hard to get it back on track, the injuries keep coming back.

However, there seems to be a bit of good news as things are, with reports claiming that the Real Madrid man could be returning to fitness gradually. The attacker is currently away on international duty with his country Belgium and is hoping that he can help them win the Euros 2020 trophy but that is not the only detail. Reports have claimed that Hazard is now averaging more minutes on the pitch than he has done for Real Madrid in recent times and they are good signs that he could be returning to his club as a different player than when he left.

Eden Hazard came off the bench to rescue a point for Real Madrid in their home clash with Sevilla in the Spanish La Liga at the weekend.

The Belgian national team player started the Sevilla game on the bench before coming on for the final eleven minutes. His goal secured a 2-2 draw for Real Madrid in a game that the Spanish club needed to win to take the lead in the race to win the league title in the top flight this season.

HAZARD’S MADRID CAREER UNDER HUGE THREAT

When Real Madrid agreed with Chelsea on a deal to sign Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard, it looked like the Spanish club were pulling off their next big signing after the Cristiano Ronaldo era. It looked like the former Chelsea player was finally going to leave England and be the next big thing to happen to the Spanish La Liga.

HAZARD SET FOR MADRID DERBY RETURN

Real Madrid have been boosted with the news that Eden Hazard will return to their squad for the crucial Madrid Derby clash at the home of Atletico Madrid, who are the pacesetters inthe Spanish La Liga this term. Real Madrid were the Spanish La Liga winners from last term and it would be difficult to retain their league title if they can’t hand Atletico Madrid a big psychological blow in the title race with an away win when the two teams meet at the new Wanda Metropolitano.

Eden Hazard had been injured for some weeks but the Belgian national team star has returned to training for some time and was held back reportedly to boost his fitness levels. Football Espanarevealed that Eden Hazard will be back for the Atletico Madrid game at the weekend in a publication made on Tuesday. Eden Hazard missed the 1-1 draw with hosts Real Sociedad as the champions were able to rescue a point with the late goal from second half substitute Vinicius Junior. During this period, Real Madrid have been without a lot of their first team players, including Eden Hazard, but they are starting to return from injury to play their part in the final third of the season in the Spanish La Liga and in the Champions League.

HAZARD RETURNS TO MADRID TRAINING

Real Madrid have been boosted with the return to training of Eden Hazard, who has missed the last two games in the Spanish La Liga. Eden Hazard has struggled with several muscular injuries since his transfer to Real Madrid at the start of last season. Eden Hazard was at Chelsea before Real Madrid made him their club record signing at the initial fee of €100m but he has not been at a level close to the high level of performance shown at Chelsea. Eden Hazard was a key player for Chelsea throughout his seven-year stay at the club on the back of his move from French team Lille. Chelsea paid £32m to sign him from Lille in the summer of 2019.

Belgian player Eden Hazard was pictured in Real Madrid training on Friday alongside his teammates as they prepare for the visit of Valencia in the league. Real Madrid play hosts to Valencia in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday and the game would come too soon for Eden Hazard. The Belgian international was ruled out until mid-March when he suffered his latest muscular problem but it looks like he would return to action earlier than the time set after recovering at a faster pace. Real Madrid are currently on a good run of form and have finished 2020 with a commendable winning streak stretching to six games. Their current year-ending form springs memories of last season to mind as it was a similar fashion to how they wrapped up the year.

LA LIGA: HAZARD MISSES MADRID TRAINING

 

Eden Hazard was one of the absentees from the Real Madrid training ahead of their league clash at home to Athletic Bilbao. The Belgian international was one of the four players that missed the last training session before Real Madrid take on Athletic Bilbao at home in a rescheduled game in the Spanish La Liga. Eden Hazard has not played for Real Madrid since the 2-1 loss at home to Alaves in the league at the end of last month. The former Lille and Chelsea playmaker sustained a leg injury and he had to leave the game after just 28 minutes.It was then revealed that the player would be out of action for three weeks.


Apart from Eden Hazard, the attacking trio of Martin Odegaard, Mariano Diaz and Luka Jovic also missed the final training session on Monday and are all expected to miss the Bilbao clash. The absence of Serbian international Jovic and Mariano Diaz would have been felt by Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane who might have thought about resting star striker Karim Benzema for the Athletic Bilbao match on Tuesday night if Mariano Diaz or Luka Jovic was available for the game.
