HAZARD’S MADRID CAREER UNDER HUGE THREAT

When Real Madrid agreed with Chelsea on a deal to sign Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard, it looked like the Spanish club were pulling off their next big signing after the Cristiano Ronaldo era. It looked like the former Chelsea player was finally going to leave England and be the next big thing to happen to the Spanish La Liga.

Before completing the transfer, Hazard had also already made it clear that he was interested in joining Real Madrid as he considered it the next big step of his career. The deal was finally completed with all parties involved finally getting what they wanted, except, of course, Chelsea, who felt they could have convinced the player to stay back for at least one more year.

But because in football, some inevitable things are bound to happen, the Blues could not stop their best player from leaving Stamford Bridge. Hazard’s problems started when he first arrived in Spain and was looking overweight. His first task as a Madrid player was then to get rid of his overweight physique so he could get back to shape.

Some months into his career at the Los Blancos, he started struggling with several recurring injuries that began hampering his performances in the white shirt. His injury problems have not stopped top, they have rather continued to disturb his career at Real Madrid and there are now talks about the club signing a replacement for him.

The player that tops the list of transfer targets for Madrid is Kylian Mbappé. The Paris Saint-Germain forward is refusing to sign a new contract at the French club and has been touted as the next galactico signing under Zinedine Zidane, but there could still be further twists and turns regarding the possibility of the deal happening this summer.
